Mums the Word is now a proud registered Community Interest Company (CIC), based in Sauchie, Clackmannanshire.

We are a not-for-profit community organisation supporting families across clackmannanshire and beyond through connection, empowerment, and gentle guidance.

Our mission is to nurture the whole family, offering a listening, non-judgemental ear and walking alongside parents as they navigate the journey of parenthood  with honesty, warmth, and compassion.

We believe in creating safe, welcoming spaces where parents can build bonds, friendships, and trusted support networks, and feel empowered in their role.

Our approach is rooted in respect, emotional wellbeing, and responsive connection — starting from birth and growing with each family.

Community Interest Companies (CICs) are organisations created to make a difference. Rather than existing to make a profit, CICs focus on benefiting the communities they serve.

For Mums the Word, becoming a CIC felt like a natural step. It reflects our values — that all families should have access to kind, consistent, and compassionate care, especially during the early years of parenthood.

As a CIC, we can:

• Shape our services based on what local families actually need
   
• Apply for funding to reach more families
   
• Collaborate with like-minded partners
   
• Stay grounded in our values: care, connection, and community
   

At Mums the Word, our aim is to nurture the whole family, not just support one stage of the journey. We’re here to walk alongside parents , gently, respectfully, and without judgment , as they grow in confidence and navigate the ups and downs of parenthood.

Whether it’s offering a listening ear at a drop-in, teaching soothing infant massage techniques, or simply reminding a mum she’s doing a great job  we’re building a village of support around every family we meet.
